Access and Privacy

Transparency is the foundation of accessible and accountable government. The City of Calgary’s Access to Information and Corporate Privacy section (Access and Privacy) supports open government by making information held by The City available to the public through access to information requests (access requests). By balancing openness with privacy, we help build trust between The City and the community we serve.

Access and Privacy also manages requests for corrections of personal information, investigates privacy incidents and guides City departments in applying best practices for handling personal information.
